2.0L inline-4 turbo engine with mild hybrid drive

Mild hybrid electrification advances the 255-hp 2.0L inline-4 turbo engine. A 48-volt Integrated Starter-Generator allows fuel-free coasting, and can recapture energy during deceleration. ECO Start/Stop system

An ECO Start/Stop system can automatically shut off the engine at stoplights and other idle situations, to save fuel and reduce emissions. As soon as the driver lifts off the brake, the engine instantly restarts, for immediate acceleration response. The ECO Start/Stop system can also be shut off by the driver at any time.

9G-TRONIC automatic transmission

With a wide range of ratios and shorter steps between gears, the 9-speed automatic changes gears quickly yet smoothly. The light, versatile transmission enhances performance, quiet riding comfort and efficiency. 40/20/40-split folding rear seats

The rear seatbacks fold down in a 40/20/40 split, offering a variety of cargo and passenger configurations. You can also fold the center section independently, to fit longer items like skis between two rear passengers. Electric releases let you fold the seatbacks down with the touch of a button, while a 10° steeper seatback setting can let you accommodate larger cargo while still seating rear passengers.

Dual-zone automatic climate control

Separate left and right temperature controls allow the driver and front passenger to enjoy personalized comfort. Blind Spot Assist with Exit Warning Assist

When traveling above approximately 8 mph, radar technology can help sense when a vehicle enters the blind-spot area. Blind Spot Assist can then help alert the driver via an illuminated red icon in the appropriate side mirror. An audible warning sounds if the driver activates a turn signal while a vehicle is detected in the blind spot. After parking, Exit Warning Assist can alert the driver or passengers to vehicles, cyclists or pedestrians that could be at risk if the door is opened.

Adaptive Highbeam Assist

Adaptive Highbeam Assist can automatically activate the high beams when camera technology detects there are no vehicles within range ahead of you.

7 air bags

An advanced system of 7 air bags offers 9-way occupant protection. Standard are dual two-stage front air bags and combined thorax/pelvic bags for the driver and front passenger, plus a knee air bag for the driver, and side curtain air bags for both seating rows.

Advanced Tire Pressure Monitoring System

The Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) can automatically detect a substantial loss of tire pressure in any wheel and alert the driver via a warning message in the multifunction display. The advanced TPMS can also display the numeric tire pressure for each mounted wheel.
