When you shift into Reverse gear, the visual parking aid is activated, giving you a clear view of what’s behind you overlaid with guides for parking.
The system uses data and the driver activity to deduce whether the lane has been left intentionally or unintentionally. If the vehicle leaves its lane unintentionally, the system gives a warning by pulsating vibrations of the steering wheel. This prompts the driver to make a steering correction.
Blind Spot Assist recognizes vehicles in the blind spot using two short-range radar sensors located in the rear bumper. If a vehicle is detected in the blind spot, a red triangle warning appears in the exterior mirror. Should the driver operate the blinker for a lane change despite this visual warning, the triangle symbol starts to flash and a double warning tone is sounded additionally.
