AMG-enhanced 3.0L inline-6 turbo engine with hybrid assist

The seamless power and natural balance of an inline-6 pair with another Mercedes-AMG tradition: a technological leap forward. The lightweight, fully beltless and comprehensively upgraded engine is also electrified: An Integrated Starter-Generator can supply up to 23 hp and recapture energy during deceleration. An improved electric auxiliary compressor enhances the response of a larger turbo with up to 22 psi of max boost. The gas engine outputs 443 hp and 413 lb-ft of torque on its own.

AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9-speed transmission

Specific AMG programming of the 9-speed automatic transmission delivers quicker gear changes in the paddle-shifted Manual mode. In the Comfort, Sport, Sport+ and Slippery modes of AMG DYNAMIC SELECT, the wide range of closely spaced ratios offers an ideal blend of smooth, efficient performance in virtually every driving situation, from relaxed cruising to quick acceleration. AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive

A specially engineered version of 4MATIC^® can instantly vary the front-to-rear torque distribution in precise response to driving conditions and driver inputs. It can even send up to 100% to the rear wheels. An electromechanical coupling between the front and rear axles is controlled based on an elaborate matrix of driving mode, lateral and longitudinal acceleration, and available grip to optimize handling and acceleration on virtually any road or track surface.

AMG DYNAMICS

AMG DYNAMICS expands the functions of the 3-stage ESP^® for enhanced agility in a variety of driving modes and situations. In concert with the modes of AMG DYNAMIC SELECT, Basic, Pro and Advanced settings can adapt the intervention of the ESP from normal to none, suitable only for closed courses, as well as activating yaw-enhancing features for more responsive and precise cornering feel and feedback.

A range of AMG^® wheels is available from 19 to 20 inches, all staggered in width and set on a wider track than other CLE Cabriolets. Two 20-inch forged options offer lighter weight and a great view of the AMG brake hardware.

All-season power soft top

The 3-layer "acoustic" soft top is meticulously tailored for long-lasting beauty and a remarkably quiet cabin. A bonded butyl layer fends off the elements while keeping the top-up profile smoother. At speeds of up to 31 mph, the one-button power top takes less than 20 seconds to vanish under a sleek cover that elegantly unites the cabin and rear deck, while leaving ample trunk space. Three stylish colors are available. Among its generously sized windows is a heated rear window.

60/40-split folding rear seats

The rear seatbacks fold down in a 60/40 split to allow a combination of cargo and passenger configurations. The release handles are in the trunk, so they're conveniently located where you'll need them, and can be kept out of reach simply by valet-locking the trunk.

Dual-zone automatic climate control

Separate left and right temperature controls allow the driver and front passenger to enjoy personalized comfort. In addition to fully automatic or manual control of blower speed and airflow distribution, the system includes a dust and pollen filter that helps keep particles as small as 0.0002-inch from entering the cabin.

AMG Performance steering wheel in Nappa leather

A twin-spoke design makes the AMG Performance steering wheel more enjoyable than ever. In addition to its contoured side grips, flat-bottom design, and aluminum AMG shift paddles, each spoke places its own Touch Control Buttons for more intuitive access by feel alone. Hand-stitched Nappa leather, AMG DRIVE UNIT performance controls are standard, and heating is available.

Illuminated entry system with logo projectors

You can program your Mercedes-Benz to turn on some exterior lights when you unlock it in darkness, to help illuminate a path to your vehicle. Special filters and LED lamps underneath the side mirrors also project the AMG "Affalterbach" crest on the pavement. In addition to welcoming you in unmistakable style, the illuminated logos help you see puddles or uneven pavement as you enter your vehicle.

Blind Spot Assist with Exit Warning Assist

When traveling above approximately 8 mph, radar technology can help sense when a vehicle enters the blind-spot area. Blind Spot Assist can then help alert the driver via an illuminated red icon in the appropriate side mirror. An audible warning sounds if the driver activates a turn signal while a vehicle is detected in the blind spot. After parking, Exit Warning Assist can alert the driver or passengers to vehicles, cyclists or pedestrians that could be at risk if the door is opened.

11 air bags

An advanced system of 11 air bags offers advanced occupant protection. Standard are dual two-stage front air bags and combined thorax/pelvic bags for the driver and front passenger, plus a knee air bag for the driver and front passenger, a head air bag along the windows at all four seating positions, and a new front center air bag.

Pop-up roll bars

Integrated behind each rear seating position, pop-up roll bars can deploy within a third of a second of detecting an impending rollover, to help preserve occupant space.

Brake Assist (BAS)

Brake Assist (BAS^®) can sense emergency braking via the speed at which the driver presses the brake pedal and immediately apply maximum available power boost. Brake Assist can potentially reduce the overall stopping distance by eliminating the delay caused by a common human tendency not to brake hard enough, soon enough. Letting up on the brake pedal releases Brake Assist.
