Power to the pavement, precisely.

AMG Performance 4MATIC turns torque into agility. The GLC 43's 31:69 rear bias quickens takeoffs and clings to corners. On the V8 models, variable-torque 4MATIC+ can send all their torque to the rear axle.

The AMG Sport Suspension is based on self-lowering, multimode AIR BODY CONTROL. You can vary its parameters to your liking via the driving programs of AMG DYNAMIC SELECT.

Big brake discs are cast with their perforations in place, not drilled later, to better manage stress. Multipiston front calipers apply stronger force more evenly. Ceramic compound front brakes are a GLC 63 S option.

The AMG Performance steering wheel includes Touch Control Buttons, and a flat-bottom design in a choice of materials. You can add the AMG DRIVE UNIT controls to any of them.

Power front sport seats with memory.

Substantially bolstered sport front seats feature exclusive contouring, intuitive seat-shaped controls on the door, plus a 4-way power lumbar support. To set and save your ideal driving position, a memory system for each front seat recalls three stored positions for the seat, plus the positions of the 4-way power steering column and side mirrors for the driver. Both front seats also feature adjustable thigh support.

10.25-inch touchscreen multimedia display.

A widescreen color display with multitouch interface makes it easy to access a world of features, including audio, MB Navigation, phone and vehicle settings. In addition to the three input methods of the standard screen (touchscreen, console touchpad, and Touch Control steering wheel), it also responds to the advanced voice control you activate by saying "Hey, Mercedes." Predictive features can learn and anticipate your commands, while you can save groups of settings as themes and moods.

Dual-zone automatic climate control.

Separate left and right temperature controls allow the driver and front passenger to enjoy personalized comfort. A vivid 12.3-inch screen directly in front of the driver offers customizable analog-style and digital displays for instrumentation and exclusive AMG readouts. The panel also integrates a large multifunction menu screen with illustrated and animated menus for vehicle information, settings and driver-assistance features. Several instrumentation styles can be selected, featuring a variety of AMG-specific analog-style, digital and graphical readouts.

64-color LED ambient lighting/AMG illuminated front door sills.

A network of LEDs can create not just a soothing ambience in the cabin, but one you can alter to suit your mood, or even create one. The 64 selectable colors and adjustable brightness let you control the atmosphere like never before. LED headlamps and taillamps.

With longer life, quicker illumination and beams that approximate daylight even more closely than xenon headlamps, the multi-element LED headlamps enhance both vision and visibility in nighttime driving. Bright white LED Daytime Running Lamps and all other front light functions are integrated within the flowing sculpture of the headlamp assemblies, making the design as appealing as it is illuminating. Wide, horizontal taillamps feature an all-LED design with a three-dimensional design.

Surround View System.

The Surround View System uses cameras in all four directions to compose a single, live overhead view of your immediate surroundings. Displayed on the in-dash screen during low-speed maneuvers, it can help you avoid obstacles as you negotiate tight spaces, whether you're moving forward or backing up. A special mode zooms in to help you line up your GLC and a trailer to attach it to the available hitch.

7 air bags.

An advanced system of 7 air bags offers 9-way occupant protection. Dual two-stage front air bags, combined thorax/pelvic bags for driver and front passenger, a driver's knee air bag, and side curtain air bags for both seating rows are standard.

Aluminum and high-strength steel body structure.

Greater use of aluminum helps the body shell of the GLC elevate its overall rigidity, occupant protection and acoustic qualities while reducing weight, even with a significant increase in cabin space. Advanced Tire Pressure Monitoring System.

The Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) can automatically detect a substantial loss of tire pressure in any wheel and alert the driver via a warning message in the multifunction display. The advanced TPMS can also display the numeric tire pressure for each mounted wheel.

Optional Dashcam.

A camera in the windshield can record activity occurring in front of the vehicle, and let you save it for playback using your own compatible USB flash drive. Potentially useful for documenting an accident or other event, the 1,280x720-pixel video with a 30-Hz frame rate can also include vehicle speed and the time of day. Playback can be viewed on the car's multimedia display or on your own computer via your USB flash drive.

Brake Assist.

Brake Assist (BAS^®) senses emergency braking via the speed at which the driver presses the brake pedal and immediately applies maximum available power boost. Brake Assist can potentially reduce the overall stopping distance by eliminating the delay caused by a common human tendency not to brake hard enough, soon enough. Letting up on the brake pedal releases Brake Assist.

ATTENTION ASSIST.

The first system of its kind, ATTENTION ASSIST^® continuously monitors up to 70 parameters of driving behavior, and can automatically alert the driver with both visual and audible warnings if it detects signs of drowsiness on long trips. With enhanced sensitivity, the system can also help detect drivers who begin their trip drowsy, and offer more useful information to drivers along their journey via a dashboard display.
