40/20/40-Split Rear Seats With Power Folding

The rear seatbacks fold down in a 40/20/40 split, letting you to expand the cargo capacity of your GLC in a variety of configurations, up to 56.5 cu ft. Pushbuttons in the cargo area power-fold the left and right seatbacks in a 60/40 split. You can also fold the center section independently, to fit longer items like skis between two rear passengers. The seatbacks can also be locked in a slightly more upright position, expanding the cargo area while still seating three rear passengers.

Power Liftgate

For added convenience in the rain or with an armful of packages, you can fully open and close the liftgate via a switch on the driver's interior door panel or a button on the SmartKey remote. Press a button on the driver's door or the underside of the liftgate and it powers itself closed. A sensor automatically stops the liftgate if it detects an obstruction, and you can set the system to limit the opening height, useful under low ceilings.

Collision Prevention Assist Plus

Radar-based technology alerts you if you're approaching a vehicle ahead, or even some stationary objects, at a speed and distance that suggest a collision is likely. As soon as the driver starts to brake, the system can automatically provide an appropriate level of braking to help prevent a collision or reduce its severity. If you fail to respond, the system can also initiate braking automatically from speeds up to 65 mph, and can activate the features of PRE-SAFE^®.

Attention Assist

The first system of its kind, ATTENTION ASSIST^® continuously monitors up to 70 parameters of driving behavior, and can automatically alert the driver with both visual and audible warnings if it detects signs of drowsiness on long trips. With enhanced sensitivity, the system can also help detect drivers who begin their trip drowsy, and offer more useful information to drivers along their journey via a new dashboard display.

Rearview Camera

Shift into Reverse, and a rear-mounted camera displays a live 180-degree view of what's behind the vehicle on the screen atop the dashboard. Active on-screen guidelines indicate the car's projected path as you turn the steering wheel.
