Handcrafted AMG 4.0L "dry sump" V8s unleash a torque-rich growl. Twin turbos, set in the "hot V" between the cylinder banks, force-feed massive boost to each Direct Injected cylinder. The results: 0-60 in 3.7 seconds for the 523-hp AMG GT, and 3.6 for the 550-hp GT C.
The 4-wheel double-wishbone suspension employs highly rigid, lightweight forged aluminum components. Rear coil-overs are direct-mounted the hub carriers. Standard 3-stage AMG RIDE CONTROL adapts to road, track and driver. And multimode AMG DYNAMIC SELECT lets you dial in key performance parameters.
GT C handling is enhanced with active rear-wheel steering, and dynamic engine and transaxle mounts whose electromagnetic fluid can progressively stiffen for added precision. The chassis is tuned to a more aggressive profile, with an enhanced steering profile and increased negative camber.
Helping create an ideal 47:53 front/rear balance, a rigid carbon-fiber driveshaft links the V8 and rear-mounted 7-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT® DCT transaxle. With selectable modes and rev-matching, it's alarmingly quick yet astoundingly seamless. The limited-slip diff features precise electronic control.
With a single console switch, AMG DYNAMIC SELECT lets you fine-tune the car's character. Each mode adapts the throttle maps, gear changes and more from Comfort to Sport+. Key systems like the adaptive suspension and dynamic exhaust also offer individual controls. An Individual mode lets you create a mode all your own.
Advanced piezoelectric fuel injectors spray fuel directly into each cylinder with exceptionally precise metering, ultrafine atomization and incredibly quick on/off switching speed. Based on the immediate, individual needs of each cylinder's combustion cycle, they can supply the ideal fuel spray at up to 2,900 psi with millisecond speed. Rapid-multispark ignition can fire the fuel mixture up to five times in a single cycle, for stronger and cleaner performance.
To improve lubrication during hard cornering and other extremes, a dry sump replaces the traditional oil pan with a remote reservoir with lightweight composite construction. The design also allows a lower overall engine profile, so the engine can be mounted more than two inches lower in the vehicle, behind the front axle. This front-mid-engine configuration contributes significantly to the car's ultralow center of gravity and ideal 47:53 front/rear weight distribution.
From its bedplate to its chain-driven water pump and innovative materials, the AMG V8 combines light weight with lasting strength. Aluminum screws, zirconium-alloy 4-valve heads, components precision-crafted from magnesium and advanced composites, and a highly rigid sand-cast block all team up for extreme performance during seconds of elation or years of enjoyment. The result is also a staggering specific output of 131 hp/liter of displacement.
The AMG GT is sculpted to conquer wind and weight, and capture stares and hearts. Its seductive proportions celebrate its rear-wheel-drive power and ideally balanced chassis. Brilliant details turn airflow into athleticism. LED headlamps deliver high-performance illumination.
Your AMG GT can express your passion and your sense of fashion. Outside, choose from a range of wheel designs, styling packages, and gloss or matte paint. The finely finished cockpit offers a spectrum of hand-fitted upholstery, and an array of modern trim options for the console and other elements.
The AMG Aerodynamics Package teams a larger front splitter with a fixed rear wing. The gloss black elements of the Night Package make an even stronger statement. And a suite of carbon fiber elements and gloss black accents evoke the racing soul of the AMG GT C.

All new Mercedes-Benz vehicles are protected by our New Vehicle Limited Warranty, covering defects in material or workmanship for 48-months or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. For added protection, the Mercedes-Benz Extended Limited Warranty offers continued peace of mind with prolonged coverage tailored to your needs.
A high-strength, lightweight core is the key to impeccable performance. The GT spaceframe tips the scales at just 514 lbs, yet leads its class in torsional and longitudinal rigidity. Cast, extruded or stamped aluminum composes 97% of its weight, with magnesium and advanced polymers among the remainder.
Radar-based Active Brake Assist can help you avoid some frontal collisions, and can even initiate braking. ATTENTION ASSIST® can help sense a drowsy driver. Front and rearview cameras, PARKTRONIC, and available Blind Spot and Lane Keeping Assists help smooth your moves from the driveway to the highway.
Though fully conceived and developed by AMG, the Mercedes-AMG GT body structure and safety systems conform to the industry-leading standards of Mercedes-Benz. In addition to its advanced restraints and active safety systems, the vehicle underwent the full testing regimen during its development, from countless computer simulations with its aluminum spaceframe and body to an extensive series of actual crash tests.
A system of eight advanced air bags is designed to offer protection in a variety of accident types. Dual-stage front air bags are augmented by knee air bags for both the driver and passenger. And each seating position is provided with a side-impact thorax/pelvis air bag and curtain-type head protection air bag.
If an air bag deploys, your car can automatically initiate a call to Mercedes-Benz Emergency Services, transmitting your GPS-determined location and helpful vehicle information on your behalf. Trained experts are on call 24/7 to help summon local emergency responders to your location. You can also press the SOS button in the vehicle anytime you need emergency assistance, or see someone else who does. This vital service is provided for as long as you own the vehicle, no matter who's driving.
Bright white LED Daytime Running Lamps can help increase the visibility of your vehicle to oncoming traffic by illuminating whenever the car is switched on. LED technology also illuminates the brake lamps more quickly, offering drivers behind you more time to react, which could make a critical difference in a panic stop. With long life and low energy consumption, LED lamps also add a distinctive high-tech styling touch.
LED headlamps can generate light whose brightness, color and beam patterns approximate natural daylight even more closely than Bi-Xenon headlamps. Distinctive LED Daytime Running Lamps and turn signals are integrated as well.
Adaptive braking technology integrates a suite of advances. If you lift off the accelerator quickly, Predictive Brake Priming can set the pads closer to the discs for more immediate response when you apply the brakes. In the rain, Automatic Brake can Drying periodically apply the brakes just enough to sweep water build-up from the discs. During uphill starts, Hill-Start Assist can help prevent unwanted rollback. And a HOLD feature can make long red lights or stopped traffic a little easier.
